Handmade Soy Candles

Our handmade soy candles are made from soybeans.  Soy wax is a clean burning, non-toxic wax that leaves very little soot. Soy wax is an alternative to paraffin wax.  Soy wax candles burn cooler than paraffin, giving them a longer burn time (how long they will last.)  Soy wax candles have a lower melt point, so you should avoid putting them in direct sunlight.  In the case of excess heat, the candle may "sweat", which means the fragrance oil rises to the top of candle.  To bring the candle back to its normal state, just place it in the refrigerator.

No color dyes are added to our handmade soy candles.  The natural color is a buttery-off-white.  Some fragrance oils are amber-yellow-almond and if they are used, the candle will have a darker color.  Soy wax is biodegradable and be cleaned with soap and water.

Candles create a "burn memory" during their initial burn.  It is recommended that you allow your new candle to burn one hour for each inch of its diameter. If your candle has a 2" diameter, let it burn for two hours the first time.  Let the candle's melt pool reach the edges of the jar.
